Accurate Surveying Solutions

Professional Licensed Land Surveyor

Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized & motivated Oregon Licensed Land Surveyor with at least 2 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing land surveying projects, preparing accurate survey documents, and ensuring compliance with Oregon state laws and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  •   Plan, coordinate, and conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and as-built surveys.
  • Prepare and certify plats, legal descriptions, and survey maps in accordance with ORS, OAR, & Oregon Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (OSBEELS) regulations.
  • Supervise field crews and support staff; ensure the accuracy of data collected.
  • Use GPS, robotic total stations, and other modern survey equipment and software (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
  • Review and analyze survey data, maps, drawings, and legal documents to ensure project accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and clients on land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure deliverables meet technical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oregon land use regulations, codes, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Oregon Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in good standing.
  • 5 + years of relevant field surveying and 2 years licensed experience with demonstrated project management skills.
  • Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of legal boundary principles, GPS/GNSS surveying, and data processing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Experience with UAS (drone) surveying or 3D laser scanning (LiDAR) a plus but not necessary.
  • Current Oregon Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Familiarity with public land survey systems (PLSS).
  • Construction staking and layout experience for civil projects.
